Adopt a German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (medium coat)

Makalu was saved of the streets of Nepal where he had little chance on surviving and zero chance of knowing love and a family.  Some local good samaritans took in Makalu and his sister and cared for them until they could hop a plane to the U.S.   Makalu is a goofy pup with one ear that sits up just a little higher than the other. He is sweet, playful  and loves to cuddle. He will grow to be a medium sized dog.  We do not know his exact breed mix but he is 100% cute and only 5 months old.

He is UTD on his vaccinations, is microchipped, dewormed, has been given flea and tick prevention and has been fixed.

He is currently being fostered in Arlington Heights, IL and would love to find his furever home! We will do our best to respond to any and all requests and contacts as soon as possible, but we are a 100% volunteer run rescue. It is great because that means we can keep our adoption prices low because we are not paying salaries, but all of our volunteers do have families and "real" jobs in order to support our passion of saving animals from euthanasia often just days or hours before they are scheduled to be put to sleep. That being said, one of us are going to do our best to contact via email or by phone within 24 hours of any inquiry. It is not uncommon that when you have made the decision to add to your family and committing to adopting a rescue dog that you are very excited, we just ask that you be patient with us.
